DUI/ DWI Assessment Instructor, Kirstin’s Haven  Apply Here

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Plans, coordinates and manages program services to ensure a coordinated continuum of services for clients with a history of substance abuse. Assists to develop and implement the model program.
-To provide group substance abuse prevention and intervention services to clients enrolled in DWI Program.
-Coordinates a collaborative program, working with community groups, partner agencies and families.
-Ensures that Medicaid reporting requirements are met; coordinates reporting, confirms accuracy of reports.
-Coordinates statistical reporting for necessary funding source(s). Ensures that required monitoring is done.
-Ensures that state certification requirements are met, coordinates reporting, and confirms accuracy of reports.
-Maintain all documentation and monthly reporting forms as required by state certification and/or ACHC accreditation.
-Attend and participate in all staff meetings.
-Assist to evaluate and monitor all services given to clients in order to determine the accessibility and effectiveness of the service for the clients.
-Perform other tasks as required.

For the DUI instructor, training consists of observing the eighteen hour DUI education component and providing this component under supervision. Comparable experience may involve employment in addiction treatment environments.

Program Director, Kirstin’s Haven Apply Here

The Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day management and administration for program staff who provide accessible, gender and culturally-appropriate services for veterans and their families, people in recovery and /or homeless individuals identified by the program, with a specialization in homelessness prevention, rapid rehousing and transitional support services.

Develop and monitor the appropriate use of key linkages for veterans and their families that overcome barriers to access and address intake, assessment, service planning, service delivery and goal achievement for attainment or maintenance of permanent housing. Provide leadership for the team, especially training, supervision, problem-solving for difficult cases and case review.

He/She will be responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation, federal and corporate sources.  This includes compiling, writing and editing grant applications, as well as developing templates to streamline the grant proposal process.

Required Experience

Master’s Degree in Counseling, psychology, social work, or related human service field. Five years of supervisory experience required.

Clinical licensure is preferred. Previous experience with non-profit fundraising required. Experience working with veterans, people in recovery and/or homeless individuals preferred.

Operational experience in organizations working with Veteran Housing, Behavioral Health, Community Corrections, and Substance Abuse Services.

  1. Must possess an LCPC, LPC, LCSW, or LCSW-C as well as at least three years of experience working with individuals and families utilizing evidenced based treatment approaches.
  2. Ability to clinically conceptualize a variety of cases including complex trauma, adjustment problems, and other issues associated with victims of trauma, to include PTSD Substance abuse, Depression, Anxiety and PTSD.
  3. Ability to work with diverse populations, to include victims of domestic violence, veterans and active duty military personnel.
  4. Ability to intervene with clients and their families in distress or in need of extra support/crisis response.
  5. Knowledgeable about legal, medical and systems based advocacy resources.
  6. Ability to serve as a consultant on issues relevant to trauma and evidence-based treatment, as well as support monitoring of treatment progress and outcomes.
  7. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong sense of self-awareness and cultural competence.
  9. Able to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
  10. Good judgment, initiative and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist, Kirstin Care PRP APPLY TODAY

Kirstin Care Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) is psychiatric rehabilitation program located in Prince George’s County. We are currently looking for a full-time licensed mental health professional for our full-time Rehabilitation Specialist position. Our ideal candidate will be somebody who has great people skills and is able to work independently.

The focus of our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program is to help individuals gain independence and real world skills. It allows clients who are receiving therapy to apply the coping skills that they are learning to real-life situations. It helps clients to get connected with any community resources that they require. It also serves as a mentoring program for adults. The primary requirements for individuals to use our service are that they must have a qualifying mental health diagnosis and have medical assistance insurance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

-Managing medical records and requesting records from outside agencies
-Completing and tracking individual rehabilitation plans obtaining authorizations for services
-Review of client services to meet COMAR and billable standards supervising PRP counselors
-Checking for note corrections and releasing notes
-Scheduling new referrals and completing intake assessments
-Keeping regular contact with PRP counselors
-Mediating client complaints
-Aiding in the rehabilitation of our clients
-Attending weekly management staff meetings
-Train rehabilitation counselors

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

-Previous experience as a rehabilitation specialist
-Thorough understanding of clinical documentation
-Working understanding of COMAR regulations for outpatient mental health and clinical documentation
-Effective time management skills and the ability to work independently.
-Full understanding of ethics in clinical care and crisis intervention.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Consultant, Kirstin Care PRP  APPLY TODAY

The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Consultant provides clinical, casework, individual and group services to individuals and their families by performing the following duties listed below. Additionally, the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Consultation is responsible for monitoring services and staff documentation to ensure consumers achieve their psychiatric recovery goals and that services are oriented to the individual needs of consumers served. Services are provided on-site, within the home, and in the community. The consumer receives assistance with developing life skills training to include organizational skills, time management skills, nutrition, budgeting, etc.
Responsibilities:

-Completes assessment on clients’ social, emotional, financial, health, or other problems to develop rehabilitation treatment plan.
-Develop and implements treatment plans with individual in services.
-Counsels individuals, assisting them to identify and resolve problems and make effective use of resources.
-Works closely with families of individuals and provides appropriate referrals for family members.
-Develops and maintains contact with other agency staff and local service providers to promote coordination and integration of care.
-Helps individuals understand mental illness and how it affects their health and life styles.
-Maintain productivity requirements including monthly minimum visits and active caseload requirements.
-Prepares and maintains written case records, reports, notes and other relevant documentation.
-Performs case follow-up, closing, and performs other administrative tasks as required.
-Participates in PRP management team.
